In the Spotlight: Anthony Sanchez
For many of our customers, Anthony may not need an introduction. But for everyone else, we want to invite you to get to know some of our hard working professionals that make Esposito’s Electric New Jersey’s Top-Rated Electrical Contractor.
Say ‘hello’ to Anthony Sanchez: Electrician, generator technician, volunteer firefighter, husband, and father.
Anthony has always been a problem solver. When he was little, he was interested in fixing things, taking things apart, and putting them back together. His passion for working with his hands landed him in trade school where he graduated at the top of his class.
When Did You Know You Wanted To Be an Electrician?
I’ve always been mechanically inclined and when I was a kid I liked to help fix things around the house like our toaster and lamps.
How Long Have You Been With Esposito’s Electric and How Did You Get Started?
I have been working with Esposito’s for over eight years. My teacher recommended me to Esposito’s Electric and I was hired right out of school. My first job was an electrician’s helper, which was great because a lot of people don’t get field experience right out of school. I learned a ton my first couple years in that position, assisting electricians and being out in the field. Everyone I worked with was very helpful.
What Have You Learned Working at Esposito’s Electric?
At Esposito’s, I learned most people can study and learn to be an electrician but what can set you apart is taking ownership of solving a problem… and do an exceptional job at it. That advice has also helped me outside of work, especially as a volunteer firefighter.
What’s Your Favorite Part of the Job?
My favorite part of working at Esposito’s, and as an electrician in general, is when a customer is completely satisfied with the work I’ve done for them. I love it when I get a solid review too. It really is a great feeling.
What’s Something About You That Most People Would Be Surprised To Learn About?
Well, I like to build furniture from wood and old wire spools. I also played trumpet in a band and was a singer in an all men’s choir group.
What Keeps You Motivated?
It sounds corny but being with Esposito’s Electric, you really do feel like you’re part of the family. My motivation comes from working alongside these experienced managers that have been with the company for 15-20 years or more. I definitely strive to be one of those guys one day.
